My serious interest in blogging is not panning out to work as well as I thought it would. Also, I would need a camera, which I do not have. Although I still see many many people blogging, so I did some research. Actually this research was done a long time ago.
About a year ago I found out that blogging is not overly as popular as even bloggers themselves believe. I believe that it is a great community made up of socially involved people. There is some great advantages to blogging that include reciprocal links and extra SEO/SEM/SES added value. My investigation beyond that still ensued and became part of something where I developed a couple blogs but really did not follow through. Does anyone other that the people that participate in their own blogs read yours? Not overly, I've talked to web industry professionals who believe that it's like playing a game online and you only partake if you join.
Now, on the other hand if you are seeking out information and stumble on a blog that has that relevant content then you would read it. I'm not sure if many people that aren't bloggers themselves worry about daily occurances in others lives and look to follow that. So, blogging turns out to be not so popular in areas outside of major metropolitain areas. Why, because smaller tight nit communities already have a venue for shameless self promotion. I'm doing it, why aren't you? I just have to learn how to do it right, as do many other people online.
A great example of good blogging as I have been following is an old friend Casie Stewart who has a great grasp on what blogging really is. It's taken me a while to come to a point of understanding where and how blogging can benefit you. At the same time I'm not so sure if I have the time or the ability to dedicate my resources to publishing a blog daily. If anyone does read my blog then great but my first benefit I believe is to be able to write about something that is on my mind and conclude it to myself.
As for further expansion on what's going on is I've learned that doing business with friends is not a good idea. Friends have the ability to hide from you their real intentions because you have that undying faith in their honesty. Great, good thing I found this out before I went further with my company startup! So, I have a website that will be live in 4 to 6 weeks and launching of the company will be able to begin. Shortly there-after we will be releasing a great product for the Events Industry that will be trendy and a must-use device. Avventi will be something that people will look to in their time of need and trust for the right content.
Tomorrow will be a new blog post. I am looking for team members at the moment to help with administartion, marketing, public relations, event planning and management. There is so much that needs to be done and we have two months. If you know anyone who wants to be an active part of something great send them my way!
